Overall peaceful successful protest, apart from a couple of brief police confrontations.

I'm still kinda worn out though, lol. Still have an aching body, due to running around everywhere nonstop for the whole day, basically.... although, not nearly as bad as when they raided us way back when.

then with all this school work, it is hard to keep up with it all mentally at times, haha. worn out.

I'd find video and post it, but... too worn out, lmao.

OakPD tear gassed Occupy Oakland, midday, at 1PM, right after lunch. I think that's a new record for them, lulz.

The mayor of Seattle called forth a state of emergency due to the Black Bloc vandalizing the city while protest took place.

In Wallstreet, i think they had this cool concert with Tom Morello and... what's his face Immortal Technique, among others...

In London, they managed to Occupy once again, but were kicked out shortly after I think...

:O I love Immortal Technique. How cool. When I met CC and asked them about the Occupy movement, they said they were supposed to perform in Seattle. Were they just going to perform on the streets? That would be a whole new dimension of epic.

lol and yeah, that is correct (wasn't aware whether people were aware, you are probably the only other person, lawlz), but that Seattle thing didn't happen though, due to complications that occurred on OccupySeattle's side.... i can't recall the specifics at the moment. It didn't go far enough to find out where exactly they were gonna perform specifically etc

I am majoring in Computer Science... though i already know loads of it, but getting a degree to go "legit", as they say etc.

My brother majored in Comp Sci, haha. I find it horrendous myself but it's good that people enjoy it / are good at it ^.^

Wahhh that would have been so so epic. Goddamn complications. It's cool to know CC is down for the activism, though it does not surprise me. Just imagining Fainting Spells at a demonstration / protest...whew

We should definitely do a statewide protest sometime this summer and have CC perform ;D Indefinitely occupy something and turn it into a venue! Doown? ;)

NATO summit this week. People from around the nation, including the world are converging towards Chicago as I type this. Various groups of Occupy from various cities will be present.

The baby never sleeps and is always on top of things. he's actually from the Chicago area, though moved to LA years back, but has since spent most of his time in New York around the time Occupy Wallstreet started.

I was actually going to go (there were certain groups offering bus rides to those who wanted to go, and I never been to Chicago or the midwest in general)... but due to finals this week, I was unable to go ;[ FML.

Now, usually, these kind of protests, including the G8 and G20 protests, don't usually tend to be as peaceful as the usual Occupy protests. They can turn pretty intense e.g.



Obama obviously will be there, so the security there is going to be intense as fuck. The police are likely going to be all armored up, looking like the Master Chief from Halo, lawlz... any little thing could possibly incite an all out riot (even the police themselves... as usual)... so it'll be interesting to see if people can maintain the "peace".

can permanently damage your ears. i believe it was originally developed to thwart off pirates in certain regions of the world.

i wonder what else they'll be planning to use on people for their sole enjoyment

The last summit was in Lisboa, there were protests but without any major incidents. As far as I know protests tend to get more violent during the G-20 events.

There is a history with anti-NATO summit riots. It has happened in the past.... it varies.

Hence, no one really knows what to expect.

They were actually going to host the G8 there as well, back to back, but moved it out of fear of things getting out of hand.
